Little known fact about me

My mom was an investigator for the Humane Society and SPCA, and she took me on animal cruelty investigations when I was a little girl. Although I spent 20 years as a chef, I was eventually drawn to veterinary medicine and have never been happier. Thanks for the inspiration, Mom, I carry your memory and values with me every day.

Most Memorable Pet

My first dog as an adult was a Great Dane named Damian who weighed 202 pounds. I had to install locks on my refrigerator to keep him from attempting to fill his bottomless stomach. Great Danes became “my flavor” of dogs, UNTIL my mom rescued a 3 pound chihuahua named Bruiser and gave him to me. He became the love of my life. And since then ALL chihuahuas are the loves of my life particularly my own chi’s, Flo and Stanley
